Teeing Off

Golf in the Lower Hudson Valley, from high schools to the pros

State Open: First Round Pairings

May
30

Arrived at Cornell around 3 o’clock this afternoon. It’s been four years since I’ve covered this event. I forgot how, er, lovely the town of Ithaca is this time of year.

It’s actually beautiful out today and expects to be nice over the next two days for the tournament. The nine Section 1 respresentatives got in practice rounds yesterday and today and are all set for the event. Here’s what times and where they’ll tee off tomorrow:

Round 1 Pairings
Tee 1

9:24 a.m.: Stuart Kaufman, Byram Hills
9:56 a.m.: Luke Feehan, Mahopac
10:20 a.m.: Dylan Newman, New Rochelle
10:52 a.m.: Mark Mumford, Rye

Tee 10
9:08 a.m.: Marisa Kamelgarn, Mahopac
9:32 a.m.: Derrick Kim, Clarkstown North
10:04 a.m.: Mike Miller, Brewster
10:36 a.m.: Joe Raitano, Mahopac
11:00 a.m.: Matt Richard, Lourdes

I’ll be checking in throughout the day with live updates from the course. I’ll do my best to give as much info as possible. It all depends on my wireless internet capabilities.
