Five Section 1 golfers finished tied for 11th or better today in the final round of the State Open golf championship at Cornell University’s Robert Trent Jones golf course in Ithaca.

Mike Miller of Brewster shot a 1-under 71. His two-day total of 146 put him tied for third for the second year in a row.

Mahopac seniors Joe Raitano and Luke Feehan tied for sixth. All three will compete in Sunday’s federation tournament in Elmira.

New Rochelle’s Dylan Newman finished tied for ninth and Rye’s Mark Mumford tied for 11th. Mahopac’s Marisa Kamelgarn, who was tied for eighth to start the day, finished 17th.

The top 20 finishers earned all-state honors.
