The first Autism Awareness Golf Outing will be held at Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers on Sept. 15.
It’s an event organized by Melissa Baccari, a former volleyball player at Mercy College, who’s been inspired by her 6-year-old brother, Christopher. He was diagnosed with autism three years ago. The outing starts at noon.
A fee of $160 includes golf along with a buffet dinner. Those wishing to attend the dinner can do so for $65. Proceeds will go to Autism Speaks.
There is a website set up to provide more information and online registration.
