Svoboda on to Stage 2

November
13

Andrew Svoboda was the lone member of a strong local contingent to move beyond the first stage of PGA Tour qualifying. He’s back in action Nov. 18-21 at Deerwood Country Club in Kingwood, Texas.

The Larchmont resident is working to make the final stage, which is to be held in December.

Svoboda, a former standout at St. John’s who spent the summer working at Old Oaks and played in his second U.S. Open, has been playing the NGA Hooters Tour and has finished seventh or better in three of his four appearances since he went south in September to prepare for Q school.
