They had quite a crowd at Dellwood Country Club recently to celebrate the completion of a multi-million dollar clubhouse renovation that included upgrages to the ballroom, lobby, grill room and outdoor terrace. It was the first step in a plan implemented by a new ownership group to revitalize the New City landmark that was once the estate of Paramount Pictures president Adolf Zukor.
A guest house that formerly hosted Hollywood stars is being renovated into a cottage for overnight stays by members and there is more on the drawing board at Dellwood, which also boasts a memorable A.W. Tillinghast layout.
