Brad Tilley nearly blew up down the stretch, but he made a birdie on the final hole at Turtle Bay in Hawaii to finish on the number and move onto the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School. The Mount Kisco native tied for 21st with a 6-over 294 on the Palmer Course. Tilley doubled the 12th and bogeyed the 13th to slip outside the cut line, but took advantage of the closing par 5 to get back in.
The best 23 scores, including ties, from each site moved on.
Joe Christianson missed by 10 strokes at Pinewild Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C. The Quaker Ridge assistant finished in 56th place with a 12-over 300 total. Granite Springs resident Brian Lamberti withdrew after two rounds.
Michael Quagliano was nine shots away from advancing to the second stage. The White Plains resident finished with a 3-over 291 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. and tied for 45th.
Keith Dicciani finished in 66th place at the Auburn University Club in Alabama. The Metropolis assistant shot a 14-over 302.
