There are supposed to be a couple of nice days next week if you’re looking to get a round in before three sweaters and two gloves become a necessity.
Pound Ridge is offering discounted offseason rates, making the nationally-ranked Pete Dye course a little more affordable. The rate to play between now and Dec. 31 is $150, seven days a week. Golfers who tee off after 2 p.m. can play for $100. Advance reservations are not required.
The course remains in great shape. You’ll probably appreciate the extra roll we get this time of year, too.
The price includes a cart and use of the driving range practice facilities. For more information about rates and golf plans, and to book tee times, visit www.poundridgegolf.com or call 914-764-5771.

Hey Mike, great job with the blog, I read it constantly. I was wondering. It seemed that there was a pretty strong pool of junior players in the area. Is it possible that you could post where those players are going to college. Just on top of my head I know, Starker, McDade, Malloy (I’m a catholic league follower). Also Derrick Kim from one of the clarkstown. These guys must have signed somewhere! If you could find out great, if not don’t worry. I’ll get my son to find out LOL!
I heard McDade commited to Richmond, and i heard a rumor that Starker commited to Bucknell. I’m not too sure on either, so don’t hold me to it LOL
