The Metropolitan PGA and the First Tee of Metropolitan New York will be kicking off the junior season with its second annual Kids Golf Festival at Mosholu Golf Course from 12-3:30 p.m.
It’s a program that brings together junior golfers from the First Tee and the Met PGA Junior Golf Association to help promote a better understanding of each of the programs and foster new interest from junior golfers from across the Metropolitan area. Any junior golfer may attend. There will be a large roster of professionals from the Met PGA on hand to provide free five-minute lessons.
Here is the schedule of events:
12-2:30 p.m.—Free lessons on the driving range, putting green, and chipping area from top PGA Professionals from throughout the Metropolitan area.
2:30-3 p.m.—Ball Striking Clinic hosted by the Golf Channel’s Michael Breed.
3-3:30 p.m.—On Course rules presentation featuring GlenArbor’s Brian Crowell and Fenway’s Heath Wassem.
3:30 p.m.—Open range, course play.
