Mike Miller is tied for eighth place at the 59th annual Sunnehanna Amateur Tournament of Champions in Johnstown, Pa. The 19-year-old Brewster resident opened with a 2-under 68 at Sunnehanna Country Club and is three shots behind co-leaders Justin Thomas and Bobby Wyatt, who happen to be teammates and All-Southeastern Conference players at the University of Alabama.
Sam Bernstein, a member at Century who plays at Yale, is tied for 62nd after shooting a 6-over 76.
