With a steady T14 finish at the South Georgia Classic, Mike Miller earned the opportunity to play again next week on the Web.com Tour. The 22-year-old Brewster resident who plays out of Knollwood C.C. was 7-under for the week at Kinderlou Forest G.C. in Valdosta, Ga.
He closed with an even-par 72, that included birdies on Nos. 16 and 17 to get comfortably inside the top 25.
It was a relatively average week for Miller with the driver and irons, but he was putting with confidence. The former two-time MGA player of the year’s 1.696 putting average was better than a majority of the players in the field. Miller picked up a check for $11,050 and gets to go again next week at the BMW Charity Pro-Am at Thornblade Club in Greer, S.C.
Another finish inside the top 25 would keep the string alive.
