Luke Feehan won the New York State Amateur Championship in a playoff, defeating Bryce Edmister with a par on the first extra hole.
The 23-year-old from Mahopac went into the final day at Bellevue Country Club outside Syracuse tied for the lead with Matthew Lowe, and closed with rounds of 72 and 74. He finished the championship with a 5-over total of 289.
Edmister, who played at Binghamton, shot a 67 in the final round to catch Feehan. It’s the biggest win of the Boston College grad’s amateur career.
