St. Andrew’s Golf Club has added PGA teaching assistant Tyler Jaramillo to the staff for the upcoming season. The New Mexico native is coming from The Seawane Club on Long Island. Jaramillo will focus on teaching and operations at the club’s Apple Tree Learning Center, which is scheduled to open in May.
He is no stranger to Westchester.
Jaramillo worked at Ardsley Country Club and Fenway Golf Club. He was at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, Conn., as well. Jaramillo is also the owner/director and co-founder of Golf In Schools in Seattle, Wash., where he works with 25 elementary schools and more than 150 children to grow the game of golf.
He also has a strong competitive resume, playing in the PGA National Assistant’s Championship last year.
Jaramillo will report to St. Andrew’s head golf professional Greg Bisconti, joining PGA director of golf Charlie Hicks and PGA assistant Ambry Bishop. He also serves on the Met PGA Assistants Board as well as the Met PGA Tournament Committee.
