Rob Labritz and Steve Scott advanced to the MasterCard Westchester PGA Championship final and will meet bright and early on Thursday at The Apawamis Club.
Scott, the head pro at Paramount Country Club, started the day with a 5-and-4 win over St. Andrew’s teaching professional Tyler Jaramillo. He ousted James Ondo, the host professional, 2 and 1 in the semifinals. Labritz, the director of golf at GlenArbor Golf Club, posted a 2-up win over Wykagyl assistant Paul Selvaggio before lunch. He beat Saxon Woods head pro Charlie Meola in 19 holes in the semifinals.
Ondo beat Josh DeSiena of Westchester Golf Range 5 and 3 in the semifinals. Meola beat Frank Bensel of Century 4 and 3.
Labritz won this event in 2003.
